LINK RESOURCE CENTRE A Rights-LINK (Land Information Networking Knowledge) Resource Centre is now open and running, it is based in Phonsavan Tai Village, Vientiane and has the aim of promoting knowledge, access to information, consultation,and collaboration on land and natural resource management related issues for anyone interested in land issues.The LINK Centre is intended to bring materials and information together in one place, share stories and perspectivesbetween local communities and policy makers, meet unmet information needs, create an innovative space for accessing information, and through this, improve decision-making processes.
It is more than just a collection of materials in a library: it is an open space dedicated to land and natural resourcemanagement, where all people are welcome to visit, access hard copy and digital resources, takeadvantage of referralservices and meet people from a range of other organizations, all in a garden atmosphere with a small cafe and free WiFi.The Centre will organize a number of events, seminars, workshops, presentations, activitiesand innovative ways to share and exchange information (an event schedule will be available soon). A meeting room is also available and stakeholders are encouraged to use the Centre as a location to hold their own events,for free. See Page 2 to read the LINK Resource Centre press release.
The LINK Resource Centre is now open and free for all to use. It is open from Monday - Friday from 7.30am - 5.00pm and until 19.00pm on Wednesday and Friday's.
